Over time, the tin became a fixture in the shop. Techs used it as a convenient mounting block for odd parts, tapping, soldering, and clipping experimental components onto its sturdy metal walls. Inside and around it, the team found:

  • Hex-nut joints allowing controlled articulation under vibration

  • A capacitor-reactive core, salvaged from the bench crate

  • Lower rust-stabilized foot mounts, retaining their original workshop patina

  • A top signal post acting as a micro-voltage alert antenna
