RC-7 Calibrator
Origin Story
Unearthed in the remnants of an abandoned radio calibration lab near Dayton, Ohio, RC-7 was originally built as part of a Cold War frequency-testing array. Designed to maintain communication channels across remote field bases, the unit was left dormant when analog technology was replaced by early digital transmitters. Decades later, its metal frame was found fused to a calibration console, still faintly humming from a buried capacitor charge.
When the R3BOTS recovery crew arrived, they detected faint rhythmic pulses — not random noise, but a repeating sequence matching an old technician’s log code. The team rebuilt RC-7’s spine from the surviving capacitor coils, restoring its ability to fine-tune electrical signals and harmonize field frequencies. Once powered, the unit instantly synced to surrounding EM fields, stabilizing the workshop’s equipment as if remembering its original purpose.
Construction & Components
Torso: Multi-band tuning capacitor assembly from a 1950s radio calibration unit.
Core Coil: Precision brass-threaded shaft with ceramic dielectric plates for voltage stabilization.
Arms: Adjustable resistor clamps with bronze wiring and vintage insulator cuffs.
Legs & Feet: Heavy-duty steel bolts, washers, and coupling nuts mounted on a reinforced hardwood base.
Head: Six-post selector bridge once used for variable capacitor tuning, now serving as signal receptors.
Capabilities & Function
Frequency stabilization and analog-signal harmonization.
Ability to detect electromagnetic fluctuations across 200 meters.
Field Ops calibration support for comms and power relay systems.
Acts as a passive ground stabilizer when near fluctuating current sources.

Personality Profile
Precise – Patient – Inquisitive
RC-7 hums softly when nearby devices emit static, seemingly “tuning” the air around it. Colleagues in the Field Ops team call it The Whisperer for its ability to calm any electrical storm.
